Special Olympics football training takes place on Monday evenings during the summer months, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, at the Pulrose football pitches. In the winter months, sessions move to Friday evenings, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, at Ballakermeen High School.
The
sessions are usually focused on three sections-
1. Warming up and fitness
2.
Developing and improving football skills, techniques and game plans
3.
Whole-group football games.
The sessions are facilitated by Pete Corkhill (Coach)
and Jim Fayle. Athletes of all abilities are welcome but must be 14+
These sessions are for anybody who loves playing football! All abilities are
celebrated. The training focuses on team building at the core of everything-
supporting each other to become the best that they can be in a fun and
welcoming environment.
