Isle of Man Special Olympics - Swimming

When - Tuesday nights, 7-8pm (Not including School Holidays). Arrive in time to be changed and be on poolside at 6:55pm for register, notices etc.

What - Warm-up and standard swimming drills in 25 metre pool, structured training to finish with swim-down. Swimming is great for conditioning and the best low-impact full body workout. Our trained coaches have the backup of professional lifeguards working in the facility. There are individual lockers for a refundable £1 coin deposit free shower and hair drying facilities. Individual and bigger changing cubicles.

Where – NSC Swimming Pool, Groves Road. 4 Lanes available.

Who – Every current member of Special Olympics (IoM). Remember any of our members can do any of our sports. New swimmers always welcome. Parents/carers can stay in the spectator gallery.

How – Contact Barry Dulson on 494761 to arrange a tryout or a regular space. A medical Form may be required for new members and possibly a doctor to approve the application.

Why – To improve fitness, well-being and develop swimming ability in readiness for competition if desired in Galas on and off Island. Regular timed sessions to monitor improvement. 

Cost - £40 per School Term (£120 per year) Receipts provided.
